Paddy McKenna is the lead singer and guitarist in Storyfold. He’s also a radio and TV presenter with RTE.

He began his RTE career in 2005 by presenting News2day following his graduation from DCU. After News2day he continued to work on The Den presenting C’mon Caman, Test The Teachers & Ice. He also worked in RTE Sport.

In 2010 he ended up presenting the 2fm breakfast show with JimJim Nugent after a reshuffle following the untimely death of radio legend Gerry Ryan. He currently presents Weekenders with Ruth Scott on 2fm every Sat/Sun 2-5pm.

Rte1 viewers will recognise him from his weekly movie slot on The Daily Show with Daithi O’Se & Claire Byrne. He is currently the voice of ICA Bootcamp on RTE2.

Paddy formed Storyfold in 2009. The band released their debut album ‘Rocket Science’ produced by Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia). It enjoyed critical and commercial success with singles such as Delphine Wakes and The Battle enjoying extensive national and regional airplay. Storyfold have built up an impressive live following and have sold out Whelan’s Dublin twice, played Sea Sessions, Arthur’s Day and Indiependence. They were delighted to be invited by the GAA to play Croke Park for the All Ireland quarter final meet of Mayo and Cork last Autumn with over 30,000 spectators.
