  • Comórtas BEO

    January 8, 2012

BEO is a combined project undertaken by three secondary schools in Letterkenny. In 2009 these three schools St. Eunans, Loreto Convent and Colaiste Ailigh decided to help some of Ireland’s emerging talent promote their music. The schools hosted their first gig combined with some wrockshops in April of that year and have continued to grow ever since. BEO has hosted Ireland’s best bands on a night that the bands themselves admit were the best gigs of their lives.

This year BEO entered a National Innovation competition which allowed them to develop a business plan that involved developing a website www.beoireland.com to help other schools host similar events and rolling out a national competition for schools to run their own gig.

The six best entries will go forward to the national final and the best BEO event will receive a prize of €5,000.

What could be better ná daltaí scoile ag cuir ceolchoirm ar siúl do dhaltaí ina scoil féin.

Read the brief carefully and apply to take part in our competition. All participating schools will be allocated a mentor on the beoireland community page that will guide you through the competition. Closing date for applications 3rd February 2012!
